About

When a pair of intelligent, visionary emcees joins forces with a battle-hardened, groove-fusing rhythm section, and a classically trained violist the result is a sound that explores and expands the frontiers of live hip-hop. Progressive in both style and message, the band’s ability to drop from symphonic rock-infused crescendos into stripped-down string-laden breakbeats has earned Flobots a reputation for both originality and authenticity.

Armed with musicianship, intelligence, and an ingrained sense of rebellion, Flobots are looking to engage a new musical culture, one mind at a time.

If you are thinking, you are winning.

    Hi there!

I found a little fault in the lyrics of the song “Infatuation”: I’m sure “phenylethlamine” should be “phenylethylamine” ;)

    but anyway; GREAT NEW ALBUM!

    so long, moerf :)

Huge fan! Just saw you have a new album out so i am on my way to buy it now. Fight with Tools has not left my CD player or iPod since I bought it. Wish you were coming to San Diego.

heya! you guys are really inspiring to me as a fellow musician and as a fellow american. My only only question is what is your overall message to the your listeners? Some of your songs are fairly easy to interpret and some are rather obscure in meaning( Ex. Gazing at the moon)I have to say that your lyrics and unique sound were part of the events that inspired me to pick up a guitar, and the deepness of your lyrics really kinda made me think. What ever you’re trying to do, It’s working. Keep it up!

I must say, your music has truly inspired me to fight for tolerance, unity, peace, and to learn what is REALLY going on in this world; how to keep the balance in life. As Mahatmas Gandhi said, “We must be the change we wish to see in this world” THANK YOU FLOBOTS!

hey! first off u guys are great, but i’ve got one question-what can i. a 15 yr old girl, do to help stop the pain of the world? any advice?

  6. Outpost 86 18 August 2010 at 9:09 pm #

You are truly on the front lines of the resistance. I am sure you have attracted the attention the ones who have got us one step from serfhood. Keep up the amazing work and beware of tricks.
Meg, you ask how can you help? You say it as if being 15 you lack the power to make significant change. You still have the very asset they seek to own, your mind. Spread truth. Learn about the labor movement, details of which have been struck from texas textbooks recently. Learn about the “war” and who is sucking up all that money. Learn about the recent “citizens united”decision. Then when you are ready, kindly let people know the facts you uncovered. Start with friends, family, and always know the facts and the sources. And don’t say it if you dont know the details. Don’t spread rumor, keep it to facts and if you state a factless opinion make sure you let the person know what parts are your feelings and what parts are facts.

Basically the facts support us, so use them. Those that want to live off our sweats and tears are not supported by fact, so they rely on triggering negative emotional reactions to control us.

Thanks Flobots, my greatest hope is one day I can spread as much truth as you.

I love you Flobots so much! I have been listening to both of your albums non-stop for the past week! My goal is to memorize the lyrics to spread to other people! So far, I have Superhero, Handlebars, Never Had It, Combat, Stand Up, Anne Braden, Panacea For The Poison, Same Thing, Mayday!!!, and White Flag Warrior committed to memory. Please, keep up the excellent work, I’m so excited for the next album, thanks for all the inspiration! God Bless!

looking forward to seeing you guys tomorrow in Amsterdam. survival Story has been on my Ipod for a while and I never get tired of it.

  13. I and my pals were found to be viewing the good tips and hints from your web page and then suddenly I had an awful feeling I never expressed respect to the site owner for them. These men became as a consequence passionate to read through them and now have without a doubt been making the most of them. Thanks for actually being really helpful and then for selecting this kind of very good themes most people are really eager to know about. My very own sincere apologies for not saying thanks to you sooner.

Hey, Flobots. I live in Colorado and only listen to your music, which is awesome. I was wondering if you could do a performance in Boulder. I know you guys are busy on the new album but maybe afterwards?

Flobots, I just listened to your single, The Circle In The Square, and I loved it. I have been practicing rapping and song writing in as close as I can get to you guys. I look up to you. Never stop with those songs! They are awesome!

Here is part of a song that I wrote for you all:

Hit ya with a hand grenade,
You know I’m not a renegade,
This is not a game and it’s not about the fame,

It is work in progress, but I hope to finish it and see you guys add your awesome twists to it!

Hello Flobots. I hope you are aware that Flo from the Progressive commercials now has a robot named Flobot. I feel as though this is vital information that needs to be shared with you. I, for one, am outraged and I think you should be too.

Your music eats at me and makes my thoughts run deeper on life and the people. I live in a world where I am surrounded by a bubble of happiness and possitive energy, while all around me is negative. I am not fully awake but my progress is slowly growing as my intellagince of my surroundings grow. I stop and think about life itself and I’m remembering who I really am. Thank you for makeing me want to think deeper.

Prior to iOS 5, the iPod branding was used for the media player included with the iPhone and iPad, a combination of the Music and Videos apps on the iPod Touch. As of iOS 5, separate apps named “Music” and “Video” are standardized across all iOS-powered products. While the iPhone and iPad have essentially the same media-player capabilities as the iPod line, they are generally treated as separate products. In the last few years, iPhone and iPad sales have overtaken those of the iPod.”^;`
