I gotta say you guys get me thinking. Already as a 16 year old kid still figuring out what is right and wrong what is the truth and not u guys get me thinking more and inspire me alot to do what feels right and i find alot of the songs on the new album inspiring like “Good Soldier” it really inspired me to go for what i want

#imonthepavement. To answer your question is that is not an American flag, it is square and has an inscription sacred to the band beliefs on the inside. They aren’t about just loving people in America, or people outside. They are about restructuring America, they love America but want it on the right path and they want you to activate and run it for yourself as it was meant to be. Those flag are the new Americas flags.

I really like your music, but I have a question (for all others to discuss, too):
Why are you, while being very liberal and rational on everything, still so big on patriotism? It’s not like you only sing about america, but that 2 of 5 pictures above have the US flag on them says something, right? I know that it feels good to be able to identify with a big group of people, but I feel like unfortunately, the comfortable way is seldomly the right one. Especially when the thing you are so proud of is being born into a group of people(a country) by coincidence. It is sad but true: As soon as there are groups forming that you can’t just join if you feel like it (and even then), there is discrimination of all those that are not in that group. If you love your country, you neglect everyone who doesn’t live there.
Love the peolple of the world. Love everything that lives. Love this planet. i understand all of that. But how someone that realizes that (s)he has been tought to love beyond reason a country that (s)he lives in by coincidence can just keep going on with that, i just don’t get it. I’m sorry, i am having problems phrasing all of this, please comment back if you want to bash me for what I wrote or if you didn’t understand it.

Holy shit Jonny 5 looks disturbed these days. He always looked pretty intense, but now its dark and intense. I haven’t really paid attention to you guys since right before you blew up, so it seems like a stark contrast to me.
